Chairman's report for the financial year 2014/15
2014/15 has been another busy one for Turntable, helping more than 850 families. The ending of the Local Welfare Scheme began to have an effect on our work towards the end of the year, resulting in our turnover being slightly down on the previous year – which had been exceptional.
Turntable’s role is vital in a climate of increasing cuts to welfare and public spending, and we thank those who help us with grants.
Our volunteers, as ever, are the backbone of the organisation, and two even come in to help after work. Our thanks to all of them for their hard work and commitment.
Pam Rice, our manager is the heart of Turntable, and continues to run it with her usual energy, enthusiasm and dedication. On behalf of the trustees, I would like to convey our heartfelt thanks.
Vanessa Newcombe
